Thank you for your interest in joining the Crossover Youth Practice Model!

The Center for Juvenile Justice Reform (CJJR) at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy is delighted to invite tribes, counties, territories, or states (supporting a select number counties) across the country to apply to receive training and technical assistance to implement the Crossover Youth Practice Model (CYPM).

Please refer to the CYPM RFA packet for more information about the CYPM and its benefits, the estimated 24-month period of technical assistance provided for the effort, and the application process. Timeframes for responses are identified in Section XV of the RFA.

In consideration of applying, we recommend that each jurisdiction convene a team of senior leaders and a core group of key stakeholders to review the information contained in this document (and provided during the virtual office hours) and discuss the current capacity within the jurisdiction to support this effort. We strongly encourage you to read through the full RFA with your team before starting this application, though you are able to save your progress.

There are three main sections:

Section I: Primary Point of Contact

We ask that you provide us with the contact information of the primary point of contact for the application. This will aid us in reaching out to you if we have any questions.

Section II: Leadership Team Commitments

Participation in the Model requires the support of leadership from child welfare, youth justice agencies, and family/juvenile court. We ask that each of those leaders be listed and provide a brief statement of commitment in support of this effort.

Section III: Practice Model Questionnaire

Finally, there is a list of ten questions related to the capacity, goals, and challenges of your jurisdiction that will help us in determining your application to join the CYPM. We encourage you to compose answers, and then copy/paste them into the corresponding fields, or upload them in a document that is no more than 5 pages (12 point font).
